Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services provided by SLN Pest Control Services ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing our website, requesting our services, scheduling a service, or permitting our personnel to access your property, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These Terms are intended to clearly define the responsibilities of the Client and the Company, the limitations of pest control services, and the conditions under which our services are provided.

1. Service Availability & Scheduling

All pest control services are subject to technician availability, operational requirements, property accessibility, weather conditions, safety considerations, and other circumstances that may affect the Company's ability to safely and appropriately perform the service.

The Company reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, modify, or decline a service where circumstances make the proposed service unsafe, impractical, ineffective, or otherwise unsuitable.

Circumstances that may affect scheduling include, but are not limited to:

  • Heavy rainfall or extreme weather
  • Flooding or environmental conditions
  • Unsafe property conditions
  • Equipment or operational requirements
  • Technician illness or unavailability
  • Emergency situations
  • Government or municipal restrictions
  • Building or society restrictions
  • Insufficient property access
  • Failure to satisfy required preparation conditions
  • Other circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control

The Company will make reasonable efforts to communicate material scheduling changes where practicable.

2. Client Responsibilities

To allow the Company to provide services safely and effectively, the Client is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information about the pest problem and property.
  • Providing reasonable access to areas requiring inspection or treatment.
  • Preparing the property as instructed before treatment.
  • Removing, covering, or securing food, utensils, personal belongings, pet supplies, or other items as reasonably instructed.
  • Keeping children, pets, and unauthorized persons away from treatment areas where instructed.
  • Following all pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions.
  • Informing the Company of known safety hazards, allergies, sensitivities, pets, or other conditions relevant to safe service delivery.
  • Maintaining reasonable sanitary and property conditions to reduce the likelihood of re-infestation.
  • Informing the Company about relevant water tanks, storage areas, restricted areas, or other locations requiring attention.
  • Obtaining permissions required from landlords, housing societies, building management, or other relevant parties where applicable.

The Company may reasonably rely upon information and instructions provided by the Client.

3. Treatment Procedures & Safety

Treatment procedures may vary depending on the type of pest, property conditions, infestation level, treatment area, environmental conditions, and other circumstances.

The Company may inspect areas reasonably necessary to identify pest activity and determine an appropriate treatment approach.

The Client agrees to:

  • Follow all safety instructions provided by Company personnel.
  • Observe applicable re-entry and ventilation instructions.
  • Keep children, pets, and unauthorized persons away from treatment areas where instructed.
  • Not interfere with, move, remove, damage, or tamper with treatment equipment, traps, bait stations, or other treatment materials.
  • Report unexpected reactions, incidents, or safety concerns to the Company as soon as reasonably practicable.

The Company may discontinue or postpone treatment where required safety conditions are not satisfied.

4. Property Access & Security

The Client is responsible for ensuring that Company personnel have safe and reasonable access to the areas necessary for inspection and treatment.

  • The Client or an authorized adult representative should be available where required.
  • Required keys, access codes, permissions, and visitor passes must be provided where applicable.
  • Valuable or sensitive belongings should be secured by the Client before service.
  • Security systems, aggressive animals, hazards, restricted areas, or unusual property conditions should be disclosed in advance.
  • The Client is responsible for obtaining permissions from housing societies, landlords, property managers, or building authorities where required.

The Company may refuse to enter or continue work in an area where personnel reasonably believe that the environment presents an unacceptable safety risk.

The Company is not responsible for delays or inability to perform services caused by inadequate, restricted, or unavailable access.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

The Company may reschedule or cancel a scheduled service where circumstances prevent safe, appropriate, or practical service delivery.

The Company may decline or discontinue service where:

  • Required access cannot reasonably be provided.
  • Required preparation has not been completed.
  • The property presents an unreasonable safety risk.
  • Required permissions have not been obtained.
  • The requested work falls outside the Company's service scope.
  • Company personnel are subjected to threatening, abusive, harassing, or unsafe conduct.
  • Other circumstances make service unsafe or impractical.

The Company will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes where practicable.

6. Treatment Limitations

Pest control treatment addresses conditions reasonably identifiable and treatable at the time of service.

Certain pest activity, breeding locations, entry points, nests, or infestation sources may not be visible or identifiable during a particular inspection.

The Company does not guarantee that every source or instance of pest activity will be identified during a particular visit.

Treatment effectiveness may depend on factors including:

  • Infestation severity
  • Property condition
  • Sanitation
  • Moisture
  • Structural conditions
  • Pest biology
  • Environmental conditions
  • Client preparation
  • Client compliance
  • Occupant activity
  • External sources of infestation

Multiple treatments or follow-up visits may be necessary depending on the nature and severity of the infestation.

Pest control services do not constitute structural repair, construction, plumbing, electrical, sanitation, or building-maintenance services unless expressly agreed otherwise.

7. Service Results & Limitations

Pest control results may vary depending on the type of pest, infestation severity, property conditions, environmental factors, Client compliance, and other circumstances.

Unless expressly provided in a separate written service agreement, the Company does not guarantee permanent elimination of pests or a particular pest population level or elimination timeframe.

Re-infestation may occur due to structural, environmental, sanitary, seasonal, neighboring, or other conditions outside the Company's reasonable control.

The presence of pests following treatment does not, by itself, establish that the service was improperly performed.

Any service guarantee or follow-up treatment offered by the Company is subject to its stated conditions and may be affected by Client non-compliance, re-infestation, new infestations, different pest species, structural conditions, or other circumstances outside the Company's reasonable control.

8. Property Conditions & External Causes

The Company is not responsible for pre-existing structural defects, deterioration, construction defects, concealed conditions, plumbing issues, moisture problems, drainage problems, cracks, openings, or other property conditions that contribute to pest activity.

The Company is not responsible for pest activity originating from neighboring properties, common areas, public areas, adjoining premises, construction sites, drains, gardens, vacant properties, or other locations outside the Company's reasonable control.

Observations made by Company personnel regarding property conditions do not constitute a structural inspection, engineering assessment, construction assessment, or professional building inspection.

The Client remains responsible for addressing structural, sanitary, environmental, or other property conditions outside the scope of pest control services.

9. Client Compliance

Failure to follow reasonable instructions may affect treatment effectiveness and the Company's ability to provide subsequent services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not responsible for consequences arising primarily from:

  • Failure to follow treatment instructions
  • Unauthorized interference with treatment
  • Failure to prepare the property
  • Failure to disclose relevant information
  • Failure to provide access
  • Unsafe property conditions
  • Pre-existing property defects
  • Unsanitary conditions
  • Re-introduction of pests
  • Actions of occupants or third parties

10. Limitation of Responsibility

The Company will perform its services with reasonable care appropriate to the nature of the services provided.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be responsible for consequences arising primarily from inaccurate information supplied by the Client, failure to follow instructions, restricted access, unsafe property conditions, pre-existing defects, third-party actions, external infestation sources, or conditions unrelated to the Company's services.

The Company does not guarantee that pest control treatment will prevent future pest activity where environmental, structural, sanitary, seasonal, or external conditions permit re-infestation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

11. Customer Conduct & Personnel Safety

Customers and occupants are expected to treat Company personnel respectfully and safely.

Threatening, violent, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or intimidating conduct toward Company personnel is prohibited.

Where Company personnel reasonably believe that their safety is at risk, the Company may immediately discontinue or refuse service.

The Company may document incidents involving safety, misconduct, property access, service conditions, or disputes for legitimate business, insurance, security, and legal purposes.

12. Service Records & Documentation

The Company may maintain records relating to services and customer interactions.

  • Appointments
  • Service requests
  • Inspection notes
  • Treatment records
  • Service reports
  • Photographs
  • Customer communications

  • Other relevant service documentation

Such records may be used for service administration, quality control, customer support, safety, internal review, insurance purposes, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and protection of the Company's legitimate interests.

Service records and communications may be retained and used as evidence where reasonably necessary to investigate or resolve a dispute or legal matter.

13. Reviews, Feedback & Public Statements

The Company respects the right of customers to provide genuine feedback and raise legitimate concerns.

Customers are encouraged to contact the Company directly so that service-related concerns may be reviewed and addressed where appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a Client from exercising any legal or statutory right available to them.

The Company reserves the right to respond to statements concerning its services where it reasonably believes clarification is necessary.

Knowingly false, fraudulent, impersonating, or materially misleading statements may be addressed through appropriate lawful channels.

The Company may rely upon service records, communications, photographs, reports, and other relevant documentation when responding to allegations or disputes.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. No Waiver

Any failure or delay by the Company in enforcing any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other right available to the Company.
